Celebrating the 62nd Edition of the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges Auction – Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th March
We invite our Shareholders to join us for an exclusive weekend with the biggest buyer of the auction’s wines, Maison Albert Bichot. We begin with a visit to the Domaine du Clos Frantin, before enjoying an incredible dinner at La Maison St. Nicolas in Beaune, featuring an unprecedented selection of old vintages from the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Sunday kicks off with an exceptional tasting of auction wines directly at the winery of the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, before an elegant lunch at the Château du Clos de Vougeot ahead of attending the prestigious Hospices de Nuits Auction later that evening. We are delighted to have secured limited spaces for this truly a one-of-a-kind experience for our shareholders.

DOMAINE DU CLOS FRANTIN
Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine du Clos Frantin is Albert Bichot’s top estate. The domaine has an exceptional range of grand cru and premier cru sites in the Côte de Nuits and has for many years been producing top-drawer Burgundy. In total, the domaine has 7.3ha across the Côte de Nuits, with plots in several grands crus (Chambertin, Échezeaux, Grands-Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot and Richebourg) and village sites in Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Its flagship holding is Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts, where it is the largest proprietor, with 1.75ha of this historic and exceptional premier cru which neighbours Grand Cru La Tâche.
THE HOSPICES DE NUITS-SAINT- GEORGES
It was in the 13th century, around 1270, that the Hospices de Nuits was founded, at the end of the reign of Saint-Louis at the accession of Robert II, Duke of Burgundy. This hôpital-vigneron was thus born two centuries before the foundation of its illustrious neighbour, the Hospices de Beaune, in 1443. The Hospices de Nuits may be lesser-known, but it is just as prestigious and functions in exactly the same way.
Its wine estate currently covers 12.4ha, found in the villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges (nearly 10ha in the Nuits-Saint-Georges and Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru), Premeaux-Prissey, Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin. Sole owner of the Les Didiers Premier Cru, it is also one of the main producers of the prestigious Les Saint-Georges Premier Cru. Jean-Marc Moron is the estate manager, and this year 160 lots (or ‘pièces’) of 19 different cuvées will be sold.
