Bordeaux Advent Calendar by Jane Anson
Accomplished Bordeaux expert, Jane Anson, has masterfully selected bottles to highlight indulgent and celebratory sips from the much-loved region for this festive season.
Having lived in Bordeaux since 2003, this advent calendar is expertly inspired by Jane’s perfect December. Each day, recipients are invited to discover one of the many great names that the region has to offer, finishing off with a spectacular glass on 24th December.
A few of last year’s highlights included:
2004 Château Lafite Rothschild, Première Cru Classé Pauillac, France
2005 Château Gruaud-Larose, Grand Cru, Saint-Julien, France
2008 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Deuxieme Grand Cru, Saint-Julien, France
2014 Château Latour ‘Les Forts de Latour’, Pauillac, France
Housed in a carefully designed box replicating the exterior of the Club, Members will open a door a day to reveal miniature glass bottles containing 75ml pours. Each bottle’s label is furnished with a QR code, which once scanned using the camera app on your phone will take you to a video where Jane Anson guides a tasting of what is in your glass.
