Live from the Vines: The Ozgundians
Hosted by Jasper Morris MW, Mark Haisma, Andrew Nielsen, Jane Eyre
In a distinctive episode full of vinous vigour in the face of great challenges, Jasper Morris MW goes down under in Burgundy with Mark Haisma, the Australian transplant named by Tim Atkin MW as one of “Top 25 Burgundy Producers to Watch”, Andrew Nielsen, founder of Le Grappin, and Jane Eyre, Melbourne native and Burgundy obsessive, the only Australian producer to receive two or more stars for their wines in the ‘Guide Vert’, lovingly coined ‘The Ozgundians’. We learn of the challenges three relative outsiders faced in entering the notoriously difficult to incept region of Burgundy, first as négociants and now officially as Burgundian farmers.
