Inama Soave Classico Masterclass with Matteo Inama – Thursday 19th January

We welcome Members to sample an evening of northern Italian sophistication.

The Inama family has been one of the foremost guardians of Soave Classico since 1964, in that time dedicating themselves to mastering the soils of the region and consequently becoming one of its leading lights.

Thanks to its volcanic terroir, this pocket of Veneto was identified by the Romans as being ideal for white wines, and they duly dedicated the most precious spots of their land to vines.

These ancient, basaltic lava soils are what give Soave Classico its mineral-laced, structured and ageworthy wines. Yet, myriad distinctions exist between each parcel of land, and a ‘cru’ classification (similar to that of Barolo) aims to highlight these idiosyncrasies.

Inama’s organic, micro-zone ethos perfectly showcases this vineyard diversity, and Members will taste wines from two of Soave Classico’s most prestigious crus, Foscarino and Carbonare, including library vintages from magnum.

Matteo Inama – one of the three Inama brothers that run the winery together with their father Stefano – will also be unveiling an exciting new project, I Palchi, which was born as result of selecting the finest micro-parcels from Foscarino.
