The Diversity of Swiss Wine

The availability of Swiss wine outside of Switzerland remains modest as most of them are readily consumed by a thirsty domestic market (over 30 litres per capita every year). Nevertheless, despite the low level of exports, the wines of Switzerland are better represented in the UK than you might assume…

Join Club Members and Swiss Wine Ambassadors Jean-François Genoud and Simon Hardy, who have organised this year’s walk-around tasting of over 50 Swiss wines – all available in the UK – from more than 20 top producers covering all six wine-growing regions.

Among the line-up, we will taste ancient Swiss varieties like Chasselas and Petite Arvine white wines with Cornalin and Humagne Rouge, as well as very rare and unique Swiss grapes Amigne and Completer.

The original Swiss creations Gamaret and Diolinoir will also feature in the extensive line-up, as well as the Swiss expressions of classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

These brilliant wines will be accompanied by a delicious raclette cheese and potato dish (Pataclette), imported directly from Switzerland, exclusively for Members of 67 Pall Mall.
