an evening with Kate
An evening celebrating storytelling & wine with International No. 1 bestselling novelist, Kate Mosse OBE
The Women’s Prize for Fiction & 67 Pall Mall are very excited to host an evening with author & Founder Director of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, Kate Mosse.
On 29th May, we welcome Kate for an evening devised especially for Members of 67 Pall Mall, celebrating storytelling, inspiration and the historic links between winemakers in the Languedoc and South Africa.
We will learn about Kate’s latest novel, The Burning Chambers – an adventure of love, loss and war set against the backdrop of the 16th century French Wars of Religion – and how it was inspired by both her love of Carcassonne and visits to Franschhoek, in the winelands of the Cape.
With superb wines chosen by our sommeliers to illustrate Kate’s research, an evening of writing and the historic links between vineyards of Languedoc and the Cape is certainly not to be missed.
We will taste:
NV Brimoncourt, Régence, Brut, Champagne, France
2017 Chardonnay, Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Walker Bay, SA
2017 Sauvignon Blanc, Reyneke, Stellenbosch, SA
2015 D&B Cuvée Décadente, Languedoc, France
2013 Minervois, Les Fontanilles, Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot, Languedoc, France
