Châteauneuf-du-Pape off the beaten track

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a historic village between the towns of Orange and Avignon, in France’s southern Rhône Valley and is home to some of the most famous producers in France. It is known for powerful, full-bodied red wines made predominantly from the classic southern Rhône grape trio: Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

Behind the popular domaines and typical wine styles however, a new generation of talented, yet unknown vintners are hiding – as climate evolves, so is the understanding of terroir and grape varieties. Some of the long-established domaines try out new ways to express the essence of old traditions combined with modern knowledge, highlighting a new facet of the appellation and their many grape varieties.

We invite Members on 20th February to rediscover, arguably, the most important appellation in the southern Rhône. Through an extensive Masterclass of some exquisite, unknown and incredibly exciting expressions, we veer off the beaten track down the medieval paths of this famous region.
