67 on Hollywood

Open Wednesdays to Saturdays

We are beyond pleased to announce the launch of our very first champagne bar pop-up in Hong Kong, 67 on Hollywood. In typical 67 Pall Mall fashion, we’re proud to present the most extensive by-the-glass champagne selection in Hong Kong: 67 in total (it’s our favourite number). Our space at 41 Hollywood Road in Central (the former Tchin Tchin) opens from Friday 24th May for three months. Named the second coolest street in the world in 2024 by Time Out, Hollywood Road now has its very own 67 Pall Mall champagne bar. How’s that for accolades?

Walk-ins are welcome.

Chinese wine is making headlines around the world for all the right reasons. With every vintage, the quality and diversity on offer are improving, and this was recently celebrated by Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards in Macau, which judged the best wines from China.

A prestigious panel of experts tasted hundreds of wines in March of this year, with the results announced in April. We are delighted to be gathering some of those trophy-and medal-winning bottles in Hong Kong at our masterclasses, which promise to give our Members a taste of something brand new.

The producers involved include some of China’s most prestigious names — already well-known for competing with the world’s best bottles — as well as new discoveries that represent the cutting edge of Chinese winemaking.

We invite Members to attend our masterclasses with their guests. Many of these wines have never been exported from China, making this a delicious opportunity to uncork some of the wine world’s newest stars.

Tuesday 10th September: Award-winning China: The Chardonnay Experience
Taste six styles of Chardonnay, which were awarded Gold Medals, Best Chardonnay, and Best White Wine from Shandong, Ningxia, Xingjiang, and Yunnan.

Tuesday 24th September: Award-winning China: A Voyage Through Chinese Vineyards
Styles will cover classic grapes alongside some novel Chinese originals, promising to give Members a taste of something new. The star-studded line-up features award-winning wines such as the Best Wine of China 2024, Best Pinot Noir, Best Cabernet Franc, and more.

67 Pall Mall x Aston Martin: A Toast To F1 Grand Prix

Friday 20th September, 2024

In tandem with the F1 Night Race in Singapore, we’re thrilled to partner with Aston Martin for a special evening. Join us at the Aston Martin showroom in Happy Valley as we raise a toast to the start of the racing season, and experience the excitement firsthand as you take the wheel in our simulator race. Compete with fellow Members, feel the rush of becoming an F1 driver for the evening, and vie for a special prize to be announced at the end of the night. It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow car lovers and wine enthusiasts while enjoying British sparkling wine from British producer Roebuck Estates.

Roebuck’s winery owner, Mike Smith, will also be sharing the story behind Roebuck and its sparkling wines. As the night continues, guests will get to see two special, limited-edition Aston Martin SUVs made just for F1 and an exhibition dedicated to a legendary F1 racer.

Syrah Showdown with Richard Hemming MW

Saturday 21st September, 2024

As the world’s best red grape (shush, Pinot Noir!), Syrah is capable of reflecting its origin with captivating complexity. Our Head of Wine Asia and resident Master of Wine Richard Hemming is also Syrah’s biggest fan, and will be hosting an intimate masterclass showcasing six Club favourites.

Served in vintage pairs, the first flight features two of the wine world’s biggest bargains. Domaine de Bruyères in Crozes-Hermitage make Syrah that fulfils the potential of this Northern Rhône appellation. As a minimal-intervention producer, their 2020 ‘Georges’ is thrillingly energetic. Equally lively is Trinity Hill’s 2020 Syrah from the Gimblett Gravels region of Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand, which captures the peppery scent of cool-climate Syrah with delicious fidelity.

Next come two curveballs: an undiscovered beauty from coastal Chile and an unexpected colossus from Washington State, both from 2017. Las Pizarras Syrah is a true hidden gem grown in Aconcagua by top producer Errazuriz, and which already displays the gamey, meaty development of great mature Syrah. Up against it is the legendary Armada from Cayuse, a star of Washington State which regularly appears among the world’s top-scoring Syrah producers.

We finish with the ultimate showdown, thanks to a pair of 2014s: a profound Hermitage versus a classic Aussie. Tyrrells Vat 9 is one of Australia’s most historic Shirazes, a prototype for the richly fruited style that altered our perception of the variety, while the world-famous Jean-Louis Chave makes the absolute epitome of Hermitage, the spiritual home of Syrah. Surely, this legendary example will be crowned the wine of the night … or will it? Join Richard in this masterclass to judge for yourself.
